Ekadashi (11th day of each lunar fortnight) is the primary fasting day for Vishnu devotees. If your visit falls near an Ekadashi, fast completely on that day. The fast should be observed before the temple visit, not after.
Step 3
Arrive at Thirukolur for the morning puja
Plan to arrive at Vaithamanidhi Perumal Temple between 6:00 and 8:00 AM. The morning abhishekam is the most auspicious time. Wear clean clothes — yellow or white is preferred by the tradition for Vishnu shrines. Before entering, reread your written debt statement once, fold it, and carry it as a private vow rather than a public display.

Perform the "Pancha Kanya" offering
